Heard, in my mind's eye. I usually never attribute Christianity to the reason we(black people)were liberated. A religion didn't save us. We saved us.

Gotcha, that's interesting. I do think the story of Jesus and his role historically are both inspiring. Do you think it's modern interpretation has preverted the teachings of Christianity?

Interesting. As an ex christian myself. I've read the history. I've seen it used as a tool of oppression like you mentioned. It really turned me off from the idea of liberation through organized religion (not spirituality though).
