Off to LA and this is my steed. It’s only got two fucking engines so let’s hope that a) they’re Rolls Royce (spoiler alert - they’re not..) or b) it flies like a Mosquito.

I’m hoping it’s b).

Found a box of goodies in the garage. Only 4 years since we moved in…
It contains a couple of hundred Commando comics. Having now arranged them in numerical order here’s the earliest one I have. #870 ‘Hair-Trigger’ from 1974. Anyone have an earlier one? #70s #childhood #commando

It’s #fathersday and here’s the offerings I received this morning. Particularly pleased with Sid’s drawings of me in a Rush T-shirt. And Alice’s badge where I’m the beer and she’s Orangina. Looking forward to building Asterix and Obelix later.

Looks like the recent trip to Brittany was worth it.

Just up the road from me is the remains of the UK’s first onshore oilfield. Set up to provide oil during the Second World War it finally closed in 1971. Here’s some photos of the nodding donkeys that are still there. It’s now a nature reserve. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
