Agreed - lets start with racist lies you told about EU workers making life tough for low paid workers. EU migrants in fact enjoyed higher average wages than their UK counterparts when Andy Burnham came out with this populist crap

Chris Mason on BBC Radio 4 argued that Reform has set the agenda for all political parties proving the truth of the Private Eye parody in practice - "you couldn't make it up Ed".

It is touching and delightfully absurd that Starmer's faux concern about exploitation of foreign workers is identical to Corbyn's framing about EU migration. They both ignore the reality of HMRC payroll data showing migrants with higher average wages than their UK counterparts. But why let the 3/

If like the UK you run a balance of payments deficit of 2.5 per cent of GDP you need to finance that deficit with "the kindness of strangers". Pre-Brexit more than half of UK foreign direct investment came from continental Europe. A labour politician who doesn't understand economics - priceless

Which calls for Dennis Healey's poem to be given another outing:

Big trots have little trots who break off just to spite them
and little trots have lesser trots
and so ad infinitum

The No 10 press office will have signed off on this pathetic pandering to racist bigots

movement of capital are inextricably linked. Pre-Brexit more than half of UK foreign direct investment came from continental europe. Investors don't stump up if they need a visitor visa to vist their investment. Our PM thinks we have seen the "end of globalisation" his economically illiterate 7/

The distinctive sound on the "Rhubarb and Custard " theme music came about because the battery on the guitarist's wah wah peddle had run down - the question is who deserves the credit for refusing to pay for a new battery which led to the discovery of such a great sound - if you know, you know

Astonishing that the Today Programme is platforming a right wing fruit cake like Stephen Moore who views Trump as "a bit of a hero". What else would you expect from Justin Webb

Not true, as the white paper claims, that the growth in migration has been low skilled. HMRC pay data shows higher average wage levels for migrants
May 12, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Starmer telling the same racist lies as Corbyn about migrants displacing British workers - repeated MAC studies have shown this is just not true
May 12, 2025 at 9:13 AM
"Lower skilled migrants" - really Yvette the same migrants who have higher average wages than their UK counterparts - its just a racist lie to claim that migrants drive down wages
May 12, 2025 at 8:04 AM
Yvette Cooper peddling the racist myth that migrants displace domestic workers - its just not true. Apprenticeships in engineering are more sustainable in a growing sector which migrants help make grow.

The problem with Donald Trump is that he is rich and illiterate. He has to watch and listen in order to compensate for his illiteracy. The same learning difficulty in less wealthy offenders often causes rage at their inability to understand the nuance and detail of complex issues.
