If it was warmed up a little it could be spread but a bit too dense to be poured. Closest in texture might be something like Marmite but perhaps a little firmer.

It was added on the warm breadfruit, just a little, and eaten almost like a frosted piece of cake.

It's been 50 years since I've had it, but it was similar to molasses and came in a can. Dark brown, very sweet, and had the consistency of ice cream but warm. It's hard to describe the texture but it was something like a sugar frosting but a bit firmer.

I have some great memories of just baked breadfruit with butter from when I was a kid in Jamaica. Sometimes they'd put this wet sugar on it and it was the best thing ever. Thanks for bringing back the memory!
