We have officially hit correction territory on the S&P 500 market ticker. This means any previous record gains in a period of time have been erased by at least a 10% reduction decline from its highest point. Graph courtesy of the @nytimes.com.

The single worst stock nose dive I've seen since July 2024-August 2024 where my portfolio lost 9%. That was a 5 yr record. February 14 2025 to now down 8+%. The above was 1 month period so we are on track to not only match that but exceed it in 3 weeks. Thanks DJ. You did that. Indeed you did. 😭🤦♂️😒

Above is the 1 year look at the VIX. That big bump in the middle just below the 1Y filter was Aug 2024 and like I said I noticed that. It was quick and fast but we also settled fast. There was a smaller bump in Dec 2024. Again I saw that. While the VIX hasn't reflected it my portfolio is trending.

The only thing making money is a select few food manufacturers and credit card lenders. The rest of every other sector is peeling off and doing so fast. The VIX went over 21 today speaking to this high volatility.

I'll start off with great news today... it is opening day for Cactus League Spring Training baseball. Here we go. Spring is indeed on the way even if you're like me and woke up to 2 degree F temps and ice mounds everywhere. It sounds like I live in Alaska. I don't. It's warmer there. 😅🤣

It's also fast and for something fairly new technology wise pretty reliable and accessible. Not cheap though. Probably even less affordable. But like I said it's fast and fun in unexpected package just like it always has been. Don't hate on the possibilities. Instead be impressed by it. 🙌🐴🇺🇸

Then they wonder why across the board Dems lost the popular vote particularly in the middle and especially in working class states this past election. I'll give you a hint-- this is why. Do nothing get no votes even when the alternative is the literal antithesis of democracy.😉

Well here we are with another tragedy this time in Philly so we're about 30 minutes away from a certain person blaming it on DEI and all the sheep towing the line on it. I can picture the press conference now... I've changed the faces to preserve anonymity but you'll know them when you see them.

I don't know if that's the vision here or even if there is a vision but I would think a weaker dollar that requires round up on purchases could hypothetically adjust the amount of money retained for goods by foreign purchase given there is no penny in this look and then not need to use tariffs.

Apparently there is a team who won the @worldcup.basketball FIBA Europe Cup and competes in the Basketball Champions League called Niners Chemnitz from the German city of Chemitz that used to be know as Karl Marx Stadt before the German reunification. They lean into that history as you can see. 😂🏀

He's got the stats. While he's not the 1st Hispanic MLB player (that's Lou Castro) he's still a trailblazer. It's time.
