I think there's a lot of people thinking the same as you. Weirdly I didn't stay up. I just so happened to wake up around 4:30am and remembered it was on. Still feel cheated of my time though.

Around the lake is a footpath. I watched the Heron fly from one side of the lake all the way over to where I was. I was covered by some trees, so I don't think it spotted me until it had landed on that fallen tree on the lake. Just a lucky chance encounter, I guess :-)

I mean does it have access to natural honey? Is it like the Winnie the Pooh of the bird world? 😂
