Well, there are people that characters from another universe is the same one with minimal changes.

In the NIS games they have Carona from the "Another Marona Mode" of Phantom Brave, the AU from the Witch and the Hundred Knight in the Bad Ending.

I don't know. i guess they won't bother if a story involved genderbender elements (even knew that is basically change gender but with another word or ignore some works like Ayakashi Triangle) or an isekai.

So, this form. I guess this was based on the S3 bad ending where Mao release his evilness, killed everyone and later destroy everything.

but to be fair, it's very interesting how they take that idea to make alt forms based on the bad endings.
