Hello, this account is to document my progress and things I learn from a passion project revolving around Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer for the WonderSwan system. I cannot code, nor do I know Japanese. I'm attempting to use my design experience to create an english PDF of the guidebook for the game.
Taking a small break, just for this week. Couldn't get myself in the mindset to work on the project so rather than forcing myself taking some self-care to play some games and relax. Back to it next weekend is the plan!

Open to suggestions on best way to host this, but just sticking it in G-Drive for now. Chapter 1 finally done! Annoyed the PDF automatically resizes to 8.5x11 when the pages aren't designed that way but ah well. Big milestone!

Last profiles and the summary page at the end, and that makes Chapter 1 finally done! After this the manual gets into being a "proper" game guide with stat breakdowns, dungeon maps, etc. It's a lot more dense after this!

Just a bonus I'd forgotten I'd made some time ago! A composite of in-game screens to show the base of operations you start the game in! The pillars of lights are shops and whatnot, the hole in the bottom near Numemon is the first dungeon! #Digimon #Wonderswan #BraveTamer

Not sure if anyone has even noticed, but some may notice the pages uploaded might look like the page isn't quite even, like it's tilted. This is because the physical book was printed with imperfections from the press. Many of the pages are actually, physically askew; I correct what I can as I go ^^

Managed to finish two pages this weekend, wasn't as productive as I'd hoped but that's okay! I also noticed some mistakes I made on previous pages, they've been fixed but like I said previously they're small so no reuploads until the final PDF is made at the end. #Digimon #Wonderswan #BraveTamer

Hmmm I was thinking of posting Chapter 1 as a batch but looking at it with fresh eyes after a good night's sleep I think I will post in batches but break it up more, so Chapter 1 might be 2 posts? Not sure yet. #Digimon #Wonderswan #BraveTamer

Chapter 1 is officially under way! Work has been far too hectic to work on the project during the week but I'm getting some good progress in on the weekends. The sheer amount of text per page is daunting, but also part of what makes it fun lol.

Page 4 done! After this I'll be able to do them quicker and in batches by chapter most likely, the first couple pages and the chapter title pages are the hardest since they have complicated backgrounds. #Digimon #Wonderswan #RyoAkiyama
