2) Even though exposed to it daily. HDR seems to be underrated and misunderstood. People see HDR and think its a better picture based on marketing alone. Its actually fascinating, as you probably know, how the eye and mind perceive it. I believe the reporters are falling under this same mindset.

1) In total agreement with you. I definately dont have twenty years of experience, but I build professional AV systems for people daily. What I was referring to and probably should have clarified better is that most of my clients cannot look at an image or display and distinguish HDR or not.

I honestly think its because most people don't understand what HDR actually is. People seem more drawn to more saturation than dynamic range.

As a toyota tech I got to drive a supercharged 4AGE one. By far in the top 5 most fun vehicles I have driven.
