that sounds like an excellent class! Really good to remember that archaeology is, or can be, a way of looking at the world, and it doesn't have to involve deep antiquity

thanks- excavation experience is definitely one of the hardest elements to build into coursework!
(I'm sure you know, but for the wider public: not all archaeologists excavate; excavation is only one tool in the archaeological toolkit, albeit a highly visible one)

New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people
