it wouldn’t be so bad if it was one demographic or fandom, but because everyone is doing it there’s no escape

I call home a lot when I’m away BECAUSE she worries and because it’s nice to have someone to touch base with, not because it’s a necessity. I feel so insulted? I don’t end up back here because I want to, it’s because my living situation elsewhere is only temporary. There’s no food here.

the mandalorian was also arguably at it’s best when not doing this, and even when it did, the structure of the show left a different impression. the departure from this was a huge factor in its decline

Usually experiencing enough anxiety to cause chaos and require order while giving me something to direct my mind at, but I’m not in a position where I can cause enough anxiety with high enough stakes for this to even work

I’m so used to trying to bring order to a mind in near-constant chaos, having developed so many techniques to do so, that I have absolutely zero clue how to handle the reverse situation.
