Very Sunday league type stuff. We constantly have guys complaining that they “got ball”, after clearing you out to get to the ball, when a foul is called.
October 18, 2025 at 6:48 PM
Google build up play please. It’s not just carrying the ball which Saliba/Timber/Calafiori also do. It’s drawing a press, creating angles of attack, switching play, working the opponent. If build up is a single player action you might as well get it launched because it’s a useless tactic.

As an Arsenal fan who watches every single match, 90% of the time the ball moves up the wings. We rarely build up centrally. Our attacks advance on the outside then when they reach the final 1/3 we start to move inside. Those balls that go to Odegaard usually are immediately played to the RB/LB.

Because we don’t have Salah, Ekitike, Gakpo, etc. You have way better attackers than us. Building up isn’t the only factor.
October 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM
They do but also that’s not all build up is. Overlapping runs (which both RBs and LBs, rotating the ball quickly and moving the other team is build up. Creating gaps with movement and opening up spaces. You can pretend Arsenal don’t do it but they do it more than Liverpool. You can’t have both.

Timber is a goal threat and opens up right side. Calafiori, same on the left. Saliba and Gabriel make line breaking passes regularly. Odegaard adds another dimension. While I don’t agree with the previous post Robertson WAS a CL level FB. Kerkez and Frimpong can prove it. Konate is struggling.

It was unfortunate and probably a yellow but let’s not pretend both Burn and Joelinton didn’t foul Saka “nowhere near the ball and never getting there” earlier in the match. The match was full of this stuff. This fixture brings out the worst in both teams. I hate it.

Coming from a man who famously believes that humans are like batteries and are born with a finite amount of energy, which exercise depletes.

I’m not listening to a single word you have to say until you address your constant assertion that “girls have cooties” as sited in a well circulated 1993 note to your classmate.

If this all is true then I definitely will NOT be voting for Biden in 2028!

It’s only buying the Premier League if we win the Premier League. If we do I will happily take the accusations.

I think he has a hard time letting go of players too. He kept ESR too long, same with Maitland, Nketiah and Nelson. We should move some younger talent like Martinelli and Kiwior while their value is there. I’m hoping our squad depth forces him to rotate more now since our backups are much improved.
August 12, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Yeah, we are god awful at selling. We also have Nelson on the books up top that’s likely just a loan. Veiera has had offers and will likely move. Lakonga I haven’t heard anything about. Also need to sell Zinchenko and maybe another defender like Kiwior.
August 12, 2025 at 3:35 PM
You guys just don’t get it. Gyokeres wanted to come to us. Isak wants to go to not us. Completely different scenarios.
August 12, 2025 at 3:31 PM
Arsenal don’t really have room for him unless they sell a couple of players first. He might also fit better with Tottenham’s needs as well. I’d love him to be at Arsenal but I think if he moves it’ll likely be to Tottenham.
August 12, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Nwaneri will be in Midfield as an Odegaard back up. Trossard is looking most likely to go. Dowman may make the squad as a Saka back up as the season progresses if there is space. Havertz may play some more in the midfield as well.

It’s a lot of players to squeeze in to a matchday squad.

I think anyone who deflects from what is happening now by bringing up 10/7 isn’t principled. 10/7 was an atrocity. What is happening now is a genocide. Dismissing outrage out of hand because of your preconceptions seems like a lot of what you are accusing others of.
August 9, 2025 at 6:39 PM
A lot of Scotts from Chicago who were overwrought by the slaughter of Israeli civilians by Hamas on 10/7 now don’t care about the mass slaughter of innocent Gazan civilians now.

Is your argument that to speak out about any atrocity you must speak out about all atrocities? No one can speak then.

Wait, they edited an interview to make a candidate look more appealing? I’ve heard that’s grounds for a lawsuit…
July 14, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Even if it is Arsenal fans, who is to say it’s because of the transfer window and not the horrible mishandling of Thomas Partey? A lot of assumptions being made.

I mean he is no longer at Arsenal, so it is accurate, but the timing of the charges is pretty suspect. I’ve always hated that he was allowed at my club with those allegations hanging over his head and I’m glad to see the back of him. I hope justice is served even though it has taken way too long.

I would’ve thrown Xhaka on as left back if he were on the team. The games he played there were anxiety inducing.
