I like to believe its all because of Amphoreus taking the same basic information that the Imaginary Tree absorbs from the Sea of Quanta when forming the Chysos Heirs, so they echo the same life patterns and tendencies but remain imperfect copies. Kevin/Phainon being the main exception.

specifically in the sense that all the Chrysos Heirs echo specific Hoyo characters without ever being true Variants (except Phainon, Cyrene, and Cipher); Castorice isn't literally Seele, but she's *a* Seele. Same for Hysilens and Mei, Anaxa and Su, etc.
