In those 50 years, many have tried to intimidate our incredible staff and our organization. They have not succeeded in their efforts to use fear to impede our pursuit of justice and equity. They will not succeed now.

I am the head of an organization that, for 50 years, has sought nothing more than fair, equal, and meaningful access to the halls of justice for the community, and the fair and equal application of the law for our clients.

Workers who have already applied for Disaster Unemployment Assistance but have not yet submitted their documentation will now have 90 days to submit their documentation instead of the 21 days initially provided.

Just as important is this: “This sacred work allows us to collaborate with other faith communities and to seek allyship with other minority groups ... which is key to increasing mutual respect and cultural awareness in pursuit of a stronger, more compassionate and just society for all people.”
