Some nice mosses, trees and views too in Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee, where the raccoon invasion started by the intentional release of two pairs in the 1930ties.

We visited Kassel, raccoon capital of Europe, observing some of the mitigation measures put in place to reduce raccoon damage to homes and infrastructure. Most are aimed at preventing the raccoons from colonizing your attic, but bird nest boxes need extra protection too...

Heading back home after the EuroRaccoon meeting. Interesting week discussing the feasibility of preventing its further spread and reducing their densities within their current range. Not simple! @inbo.be
