‘That Was The Year That Was’ was on regular rotation during my 60’s childhood
I was was coming out of my brownstone on Fullerton and Clark with my toddler daughter on my shoulders when who walks by but legendary newsman Bill Kurtis, then the anchor on CBS in Chicago. ‘TV guy!’ my daughter yells. Bill nods and smiles. That daughter is now 37 and a TV producer.

If transgender service members don't voluntarily agree to resign, they'll be forced by the Defense Department to repay the signing bonuses they received at enlistment. Not only will they be fired, they'll be punished with thousands of dollars in debt. All for attempting to serve their country.
