💙📚🐉 #SFF Somehow I missed Carol Berg's TRANSFORMATION when it was published 25 years ago. It is magnificent! Superb world building makes it epic fantasy at its finest featuring an unique and imaginative magic system and complex characters. 2 libraries in Colorado still have it.

the two sisters' landlady demands her several months of back rent be paid. The current Saphir Count hires them to get rid of a powerful ghost at his estate and things get wild. Very satisfying fantasy with interesting characters and magical beasts along with mortal danger keeps the reader engaged.

Nathaniel doesn't want a tenant but his family's apothecary shop is in trouble and needs the rent. I love the cozy fantasy trend, being tired and bored with recent romantasy. The characters with their challenges and relationships stand out as well as major danger to face. In bookstores 11/18/25.

for someone to kill the Beast, she answers to gain access to the funds and supplies needed to find the Beast and to forge the weapons slay him. Terrific world building and full of surprises it will appeal to readers who love T. Kingfisher's and Diana Wynne Jones's fantasy novels.

💙📚 🔍Truth be told, I live to unite folks with the stories they will love. One of my favorites of last year, a delightful odyssey of a morose pony, comes out in paperback tomorrow. Rick and I listened to the audiobook on a roadtrip and both loved it. If you missed it in hardcover pick it up now.

💙📚🔍 I love being a reviewer and reading advance copies of forthcoming books but I feel so mean raving about books most people won't get to read for months. Today I finished Blood Relay by Devon Mihesuah, a superb mystery/thriller and re-read Nobody's Baby by Olivia Waite. Pub dates in Feb & March.

💙📚🪐⏳⚡🎧 Books finished in September 2025. All were enjoyable, some more than others. Some won't be out for a few months but are well worth the wait. Sisters in the Wind and Where Rabbits Gathered were standouts. I loved Nobody's Baby, a SF mystery that won't be out until March.

💙🪐 #SFF Finished rereading the classic Dreamsnake by Vonda N. McIntyre. It's 1 of 8 novels that won both Hugo & Nebula awards in the '70s. Was astounded by how they have held up. In a post-nuclear world, a traveling healer uses snakes in her practice experiencing loss, adventure, and love. Loved it
