A fascinating look inside an Apple iPhone.

The technology of mobile phones is astounding and if anyone ever wants to understand the benefits of capitalism and globalisation, this is it.

@alexhh.bsky.social any relation to Mary Hall Hall? Don’t seem to be able to ask privately, sorry.

I'm alarmed by the bonkers notion we have to pay reparations on the basis of our supposed 'inherited wealth'. Britain became wealthy because of the industrial revolution and the hard work of shipbuilders, miners, and factory workers in England & Scotland, not in the Caribbean.

For those that don’t know him Andy Borowitz is an acerbic commentator on American life. Like Jon Stewart was on the Daily Show, very insightful and very funny. He’s had a run-in with the new-model Facebook regime which is sucking up to Trump and the neo-Nazis.

It is shameful that we did not veto this as well and just left it to the US.

There are still 100 hostages in Gaza, why is no one else calling for their release?

Starmer clearly does not want to antagonise the pro-Hamas protesters.

U.S. Vetoes Gaza Cease-Fire Resolution at U.N. Security Council
The United States, which has blocked four other resolutions, said it vetoed the most recent version because it did not make the release of hostages a precondition for a truce.

Today marks 1000 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

1994 Ukraine agreed to transfer nuclear weapons to Russia in exchange for security guarantees.

2014 Russia invades Ukraine.

2022 Russia invades Ukraine again.

Clearly Russian guarantees are worthless.

Can Russia be trusted a third time?
