It's something like 15x larger than BlueSky, so yes, people are on Threads.

BlueSky is for influencers, celebrities and big accounts. They all find it comfortable here looking down on the rest of us.
December 1, 2024 at 11:53 AM
Sadly, BlueSky is mainly for influencers and big accounts. It feels like elitist Twitter where the 1% will find it great, but for the rest of us 99%, it's a black hole.
December 1, 2024 at 11:51 AM
By "you" do you mean influencers and big accounts?
December 1, 2024 at 11:49 AM
Always funny when they go on the actual platform to complain about the platform being an echo chamber, like Lorenz did here.

There was the racist anti-Indian stuff, the jokes about Jews being gassed, the anti-black racial slurs, and he followed a bunch of alt-right accounts when he was on Twitter. But it's all good cus he can draw now.

I legit didn't know that about Nike's domain. LOL.
December 1, 2024 at 9:28 AM
Also a lot of legit accounts on here also don't seem to know how to do it either and don't use domains for their account.
December 1, 2024 at 5:41 AM
I don't know how to do it, and I don't care to learn how to do it to check every account I encounter on BlueSky to see if they're real or not when a better way already exists.
December 1, 2024 at 5:39 AM
I don't even know what any of that means, but it sounds like work for me to verify an account is legit vs just looking at a blue check.
December 1, 2024 at 5:36 AM
I actually got a like on BlueSky? I feel like this is a rare achievement.
December 1, 2024 at 5:34 AM
I have no idea about custom domains, nor do I care to know, but if it's easy to set up then it's easy to make a fake one that looks legit.
December 1, 2024 at 5:32 AM
It's not about importance, it's about knowing a public figure on social media is actually that person and not someone claiming to be that person for attention, or to hurt the person's reputation, or to scam.
December 1, 2024 at 5:32 AM
No, they were great to quickly at a glance see which accounts are legit and which ones weren't. BlueSky needs this to help people easily see which accounts are fake as there are a butt-load of fakes here.

Only lasting 5 minutes is a choice and a sign of a selfish person only concerned with their own pleasure. Unpopular opinion (fact)?
December 1, 2024 at 5:18 AM
Twitter's worst addition was the pay for engagement BS. In large threads, I had to scroll through pages of blue check nonsense posts until getting to the real comments relevant to the discussion. Often I would just give up and close the app.

Except super pixelated and completely undecipherable.

Someone's peeking through the air hole.
November 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM
You wish, but you have to settle for peeking through the bathroom door and jacking off over your momma's bloated corpse waddling out of the shower.
November 23, 2024 at 9:14 AM
They don't just complain about BlueSky either, but any place that isn't Twitter, Rumble, Troth Senshul, or other nO LIBs AllOWeD platform.
November 23, 2024 at 9:13 AM
and I'm here replying despite not following because BlueSky pushes big accounts into my feed. I get almost no normal accounts in there at all (apart from ones I actually follow). It's a bit shitty.
November 23, 2024 at 9:05 AM
Not really. Engagement is great for big accounts and influencers like yourself, but normal people get near zero engagement. Even just scrolling through the replies to this thread (and big threads from other influencers), most people aren't getting likes or replies. It's a void for most.
