Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. It’s not like war powers or pardons. It’s entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.

Fascinating thread. How JD Vance co-opts an ethno-cultural identity to suit his pitch, while simultaneously appearing to lie about it.
Digging into J D Vance's "Scots-Irish" Identity claims, and fascinated by this in Hillbilly Elegy (1/6)

"I may be white, but I do not identify with the WASPs of the Northeast. Instead, I identify with the millions of working-class white Americans of Scots-Irish descent who have no college degree."

Looking for good teaching material: case study from a low or middle-income country of a healthcare innovation that was successfully adopted and transformed patient outcomes. Got some old examples, looking for a recent one. THANKS if you can suggest. #healthpolicy #digitalhealth

I've become a little obsessed by Renzo Piano's Shard by London Bridge. Previously I reviled it as capitalist grandstanding, which of course it undoubtedly is. But now that I live under its shadow, now that it's my Shard, I'm afraid I've fallen for it...

Excited to be speaking at this conference in March that focuses on Epistemic Trust. With Liz Cracknell I'll be talking about Epistemic Mistrust - as not just another byproduct of injustice, but a trigger for further injustices by helping services.
