Does it bother anyone else that we tell school children that their busses are painted yellow, and that the lines on the road are yellow — yet clearly that color (and that of an orange) is halfway between full yellow and orange? Any wonder folks feel they’ve been gaslit their whole lives…

CA often gets blamed for high taxes as a driving factor (pun!) in gas prices, so here's a fun game... these photos were all taken today, on the same trip along the north end of (tourist-priced) Lake Tahoe (TC to IV): guess which are in CA and which in NV. Hint: CA gas tax is ~47¢ higher than NV

A reminder: librarians remain on the front lines against religious militants trying to force everyone to align to their religious views — think Iran, but Christian. PJI is mobilizing it's army of puritans, and we're going to need to work to keep school libraries open to all

Updated signs for Chevron's gas stations. They're running a PR campaign to convince Californians that the high price of gas is the result of CA taxes. At 68¢/gal, CA pays only 48¢ more than TX. Most is in the cost of production, delivery, and oh yeah... profit. amp.sacbee.com/opinion/arti...

Hey, a car company offering actual help: free public charging, replacement home equipment, deferred payments, & purchase discounts, to those affected by Southern CA's wildfires. A far cry from another car company's CEO, who spends his time blaming firefighters & environmentalists for the blaze
