Sure thing. I mean we don't care about the direct impact on CO2 emissions on our life and rather let children die in Texas.
Just wanted to point out, from a purely scientific stance, high quality plastic could be very useful in a mostly carbon neutral post growth future.

And if we would restrict ourselves to a few kinds of plastic and keep them clean we could in theory recycle it to a very high degree using just some energy. So in theory a future with plastic is possible.
