Great lil post! As a kid who used to text RP and as an adult who now does improv, Live Text Roleplay deeefinitely is straight up improv

It might have been part of my Larp habit, like taking my character name tag off. It was partially vibes, and also a means of distancing myself from the character for bleed reasons

I've only read a little of Nordic LARP's book Larp Design, but that bit really sticks with me.

Like, "LARPs pretty much usually work", that idea is so powerful! I see play and pretend continue to support games no matter the size. It was half the magic of #OVER/UNDER, and I'm sure I'm not alone

We uh...when our mavens gained Void Clues we weren't gaining regular clues...so it became something they dreaded rather than got excited for! Sorta like "gosh, I wanted to solve THIS mystery, not some conspiracy!"
