Eddie stretches awake and notices the spot next to him is empty, the lingering warmth from Buck's body is fading. He frowns for a second, thinking his breakdown scared him off. Then he smells breakfast and shakes that ridiculous thought away. Buck would never leave him. He gets out of bed and meanders to the kitchen where he sees Buck standing at the stove. He's only wearing a pair of Eddie's sweats and the apron that he bought him to keep here. The way the string is tied across Buck's bare back is sinful. Pale skin pulled taut across the miles of muscle. After staring for a while, he tries to quietly cross over to him, setting his chin down on Bucks shoulder. "Good morning princess, I was wondering how long you were gonna stand in the doorway." Buck says without stopping what he's doing. Eddie laughs and puts his back against the counter next to Buck. Eddie sighs contently. "You knew I was there?" Buck looks at him through the corner of his eye and smirks. "You breathe loudly." Eddie fakes an offended gasp. "Hey! No I don't!" He protests. Buck laughs softly. • "Sure princess, get some plates and forks ready will ya?" Eddie grumbles and does as he's told.
