Fiction= Reality people seem to be less active here. Idk of its because they grab the blocklists when they get here or if they just haven't moved over.

Honestly, I'm enjoying the lack of alg. My twt feed is a nightmare with Musks forced bs.

Much appreciated! I love this. I admit I've been struggling a bit figuring out feeds and stuff.

Can be disappointing I supposed but that doesn't mean extended fandom will stop. You don't stop liking a dynamic because the manga artist prefers a different one, or opted to use a different one to follow the mold and people don't stop creating. That's the beauty of fandom.

It can go anywhere you want in fanart and fanfic though! It not becoming canon doesn't erase all the love put into the ship by fans over the years. If it's one you convinced yourself would be canon ( I'm remembering when even the NaruHina fans thought the Naruto manga would be SakuNaru endgame) it

I cannot remember who it was, I just remember him saying it at a panel and it spawning a debate at the Naruto shoot because some people felt used, so it stuck with me.

There was a producer at a con I went to in the early 2000's who stated that the best ways to make a series successful was to snag the fujoshi demographic because doujinshi, fanart and fanfics were some of the best free advertisement, and they were almost guarenteed to buy merch of their biases.

Yep. I see so many people blaming it on other ships and it makes 0 sense. Make content, grow your niche. The amount of times I've been hooked on a rarepair from a good fic or fanart is wild.

It's not a contest. If it doesn't set sail, so what? There'll still be people who enjoy it, still be people who write it. Hell there's SasuNaru and LeeGaara fic still being written today. That series ended years ago. It's about what you enjoy, in some cases, what you find aesthetic and creativity.

I will never understand that mentality. Everyone has a different idea of the types of relationship dynamics they enjoy reading about. Everyone sees characters differently based on life experiences.

Will the dynamics you prefer change if it doesn't go canon? No. Yes there's disappointment, but

Your ship being canon is not endgame for shipping. It can be a nice surprise, but not all ships set sail and that's fine. who cares. If you love the dynamic, enjoy fics and fanart you can keep it alive long after the series is over.

Extended fandom is not bound by the chains of canon.

On a less serious note:
If you see lack of fic or art of your ship, complaining about it or accusing other ships of being the problem isn't going to get you more fics.
"If there's nothing to eat, cook for yourself" that means write/draw/commission.

Additionally: Canon is not a prize.

All that does is muddy the waters and makes it more difficult to find real children in real danger The explosion in the last ten years of people using it as an accusation over fanfiction or fanart of anime/cartoon characters those seconds, minutes etc- add up. It's not a buzzword for it squicks me

Unless it involves a real life child or depiction of a real life child, don't refer to fandom works as Child Porn/CSEM or CSAM. Don't refer to people as paedophiles unless they are talking about real children.

As someone who works with exploitated children and groups that search for and help them

If you don't like what I post, then it's not for you, just move on. Not everything in this world is meant for you or has to conform to your sensibilities. Writing things in fiction in no way means you support those actions in real life. This has been proven over and over through metal studies.
