When love dies
it dies for eternity.
Only the memory
of feelings linger
until numbness
overtakes you.
You finally know
it’s over and you
survived the pain.

Outside the pantry window
the snow is falling everywhere.
Not even the fences are safe.
Snow wraps it slat by slat
until it is lost in fleeces.
It deals its Celestial veil.

What happens at sunset
stays with the sunset.
I cannot say the moon
made me do it; no the moon
refuses to make excuses
for me any longer. The truth is...

Don’t lose hope.
You never know what
tomorrow will bring.
It's amazing how a
little tomorrow can
make up for a whole
lot of yesterday.

Goodnight. See you in the new morning light. 💫

Heartaches & disappointments, don't ignore them. Feel them to their full extent. Sit with them, let them have their way, the sooner they‘ll leave. Shattered hearts & dreams are like broken pieces of glass. You wouldn't leave them there, you’d sweep them up so as not to cut yourself on them later.
