På vei til #DHKO2025 i Hamar! Gleder med til to dager med presentasjoner, verksteder, og gode kolleger. Leser litt i Termlosen (vi skal etablere en termgruppe for digital humaniora på norsk) og litt i Babel av R.F. Kuang. En tilfeldig kombo, men de passer ganske bra sammen. @dhko.bsky.social

I've been in Oslo for two days, which always means a trip to Tronsmo. I never know which books I'm going to walk out of there with and I love that about it. Here's what it was this time:

Relatert: Mellom 35 og 50 personer innlagt i Bergen på grunn av varmen. Ikke noe «bra» om det.

Did you truly just refer to the Bayeux freaking Tapestry as "the penis tapestry," NRK? Norway's national broadcaster is so deeply unserious it's upsetting. I wish for better from publicly-funded journalism.

Love it in the low winter sunlight! I have a photo of it from 2014, I've always loved how the panels at the side look like knitting.

Since there are more and more yarny folks following me on here, a yarny post seems in order. Here's the start of my Hedgebind pullover, a pattern by Marina Skua inspired by Art Nouveau book covers.

Haven't shared this over here yet, but on Halloween I defended my PhD thesis at NTNU's Department of Teacher Education. So grateful to my supervisors, my evaluation committee, and everyone in my community who helped me reach the finish line. It was a very, very good day.

I took the 'Which Lingthusiasm episode are you?' quiz and the answer I got is the most recent episode I listened to, which also happens to complement my PhD research extremely well 😂. Well done, @gretchenmcc.bsky.social and @superlinguo.bsky.social!

I *do* read and enjoy fiction, as my Storygraph stats show, but I think nonfiction sticks with me better.
