Law has precedence over your emotion. I’ve lived in three other countries besides the US & we have a lot performative patriotism here. For me, patriotism is serving your community & helping our vulnerable. That is forever more important than a pledge, flag or song.

Read the article in the thread about compelled speech. It is unconstitutional. No person can be forced to say the pledge.
