It was a particularly hot summer here but my strawberries did well. For strawberries that are both heat and snow-resistant in Oregon, I planted both ‘Albion' for its all-season durability and the cold-hardy June-bearing variety 'Shuksan'. They don’t mind being crowded.

My strawberries are strangely attracted to the mixed clay soil here. Oregon is the #4 growing region for strawberries in the USA. An easy task. No special treatment. 😊
