For routine and preventive care and price of prescriptions, absolutely. For rare or complex diseases, no. Patients have fewer resources, interminable wait times for qualified specialists, and often either sacrifice their health as a result, or come to the US and pay a fortune OOP. Same in the UK.

I was about to follow you when I saw “no new post in a month = instant block.” Block?? Blocking is generally for significant affronts or disagreement. Not everyone can prioritize posting on a set schedule. Life intervenes. In my case, I’ve been hospitalized & extremely ill. Might want to rethink.

I agree, but seriously doubt Musk's condemnation of the bill had anything whatsoever to do with the bill's contents (in fact I doubt he's even read it). It had everything to do with pissing off Trump, and that is all. Let's not give credit to one of earth's worst human beings when not earned.

He knew, and he knows - he fully intends to violate the Constitution. It is just another inconvenient guardrail to overcome, he’s been breaking laws and rules his entire life. He doesn’t deserve the courtesy of attributing his traitorous actions to ignorance or naivety.

He’s NOT disconnected from the realities of how his policies impact average Americans at all. He’s aware and doesn’t care. Cruelty is the point.

The 988 suicide hotline has not been shut down, it is fully operational. There is a proposal to eliminate the hotline's specialized LGBTQ+Youth services. If approved it would take effect in October.
