Times Are Hard for Dreamers from Amelie is a great song to help young singers find their mix-belt. Mostly sitting in a medium to low range, it pops up quickly in the chorus and comes right back down, allowing the singer to slowly adjust to that higher tessitura without having to sustain it too long.

A weekend full of music! Spent Saturday afternoon singing a wedding, followed by an evening seeing my student perform in the MHS SVPA Showcase. And Sunday was the NJFMC Fall Vocal Competition at County College of Morris. 🎶
