Finally, Deal Me Darkly. Author friend sent me an early ebook copy. Its a flipped version of puss in boots with inspirations from Mulan. It is a novella but the characters are fleshed out well enough and there's a little side-conflict when Resi's plan gets in trouble when another cat shifter appears

The Saltwater Curse was my most fun read of the month. Reluctant kraken king tries his best to woo his human fated mate but goes about it in the wrong way. Mate in question is on the run from her husband's family & has major trust issues (for good reason).

Jessica Simpson's book was a super quick/easy read! She gives a look into her entrance into the pop world and the demons she ended up battling through it and up until she was ready to write her story. It was a good read!

Okay so with The Romance Rivalry, I enjoyed how each chapter did play out to a specific trope thats used in romance novels with the little review blurbs at the end talking about the trope for the next chapter. The FMC drove me nuts though
