My 9 year old saw these mushrooms on our walk to her school this morning and she said, “We should invite them to Thanksgiving, I hear they’re fun guys.” I think she’s adopting my sense of humor and it made me happy.

I finally got my Searle ammonite plaque! I was supposed to get it at the 2020 Searle Scholar meeting, which was canceled last minute due to the COVID pandemic. So excited to finally hang it in my office!

Latest work from amazing postdoc @cahooncori.bsky.social is out in eLife! It was submitted before the new review system. Cori identifies sexual dimorphisms in meiotic chromosome structures that differentially regulate recombination. #meiosis4eva elifesciences.org/articles/84538
