As a trans creative currently working in environmental preservation in a red state here in the US, I’ve had people tell me to leave for my safety. But WHERE am I supposed to go? How do I afford it? And how I see it is, if everyone like me leaves, then the assholes’ job is just done for them.

I would make fixing every pothole in America a personal project. Following that, seeing to it that not one public school has a leaky roof. And if I’m still rich? Well-equipped pet rescues all over to control and rescue ferals. And thats just off the top of my head.

I tell people; “I want to go outside and live my life. They want me to be sent to a camp. What is the middle ground there for me? House arrest?”

Someday a couple of comrades are going to get lost wandering around that ballroom like they did in the Winter Palace.

Any Christmas gifts I give out this year will be hand-crafted. That’s preserves or jams, crafted gifts I make out of scrap metal such as knives, food from the garden, baked goods, wild harvested food, maybe small wood carvings. I don’t want to buy anything as a gift, just break out from the system.

In Mad Max Fury Road there were scenes that made me actually gasp the action felt so genuine. With so much CGI and quips nowadays, the film felt real and took itself seriously which is so refreshing.
