I have places to go today. I have people to see. But apparently, what I really need to do is chill for as long as Dusty needs to sleep.

I just came back today from a weekend trip and they both loved on me at the same time. I’m sure it was because they missed me, and not because dinner was late.

Here’s another! She’s my daughter’s dog.

A tree, in a meadow. Nothing spectacular, but I had no phone signal and I felt the world slip away from me for a moment.

I hate it when Abbott begins a sentence with “Texans want” or Texans don’t want” because it’s always followed by something this Texan vehemently disagrees with…

I don’t live in Houston, but I am in favor of rainbows.

The Texas State Board of Education is changing the Social Studies curriculum. World history is de emphasized in favor of Texas History.

I noticed this mother just making her way along the fence a few years ago.

Darkness on the Edge of Town.
It matched my mood perfectly as a teenager.

That’s just disgusting. She has done nothing for this country except cheat her fans out of millions with her meme coin. She couldn’t even be bothered to throw out an elbow at the Pope’s funeral and wake up the putrid lump of flesh snoring next to her.

Just a bamboo fence that I like.

This infant green anole was guarding my okra. She’s about an inch and a half long, including her tail.

My favorite sign in Houston today. I have no idea why the Virginia state flag is there.

Good morning!

Happy Barack Obama appreciation day!

It’s raining here but hopefully that will clear out soon.

Happy Monday!

Here’s an okra blossom. You can see the family resemblance to its showier cousin, the hibiscus. By nighttime, this flower will drop and a newborn okra will already be forming.

Those are some serious ears! Otherwise, Fig looks like my little darling.

Same! I took this picture about an hour ago. We didn’t get quite as much rain but my passionflower is happy. It’s always happy, though. They are pretty much indestructible.

This one is a volunteer. I think it sprouted from a seed the chickens missed. I like it a lot.
