Oh, and go Phillies!
Hi Bluesky 👋🏼 looking for friends in the health IT/informatics space.

As a longtime clinician and EHR builder, I’m focused on improving workflows, reducing burnout, and designing tech that actually helps.

If that resonates, I’d love for you to follow along.

Love this - calm, clear, no BS communicator who can focus on facts, impact and cut through spin and rhetoric. But overcoming algorithmic echo chambers will still be a big challenge, regardless of messenger.

I keep saying Dems need to do a daily briefing on Capitol Hill and fill the void, fact check the WH. Hire Pete Buttigeig and give him a staff to do this.

I just lost my job, along with most of my coworkers, due to the illegal grant freeze.
I worked at an organization that
-helped veterans who have lost a limb
-Assisted elderly and disabled people
-Helped hospitals better treat people who have lost limbs

Shutting down medical research — not just within NIH, but everywhere that’s funded by NIH — will have long-term effects on medicine & short-term effects on state, higher education & hospital budgets. This affects all of us, not just researchers.
The assault on NIH is a test for how the national media covers the Trump admin: Trump is shutting down medical research!

That is easy to communicate. Will they treat it as a 5 alarm fire in a way that forces the government to respond, or will they downplay & caveat it?
