Forecasts shows powerful typhoon (FUNG WONG) is heading for the northern Philippines this weekend. The Japan Meteorological agency expects a "very strong" storm, while Google Weather Lab sees it peaking at 𝐂𝐀𝐓 𝟓 on Saturday before landing as a CAT 3. This could be much worse than Typhoon Tino.

Sad to see Home Base go. It was a fantastic and rare free app for kids. It's amazing Scholastic ran it for so many years.

Kind of a big deal. We can now monitor and track air pollution by the hour. ESA Sentinel-4 can beam back hourly data on nitrogen dioxide hotspots & sulfur dioxide plumes. This is a massive leap for public health & air quality forecasting. See Northern Italy 😱

My 9y old likes playing with this Arduino starter kit (UNO R3). 3D printing your own robot arm and getting it to work also sounds like a fun learning experience, maybe we'll try that next github.com/huggingface/...

Using Lora I fine-tuned the 550MB Gemma 270m model into an agri "expert" 😂 on my laptop with a Q&A dataset and HF Transformers! Evaluating with Gemini CLI shows mixed results including "Cement and plastic fertilizer". Still mind-blown by the size and massive potential for these specialized models.

Really enjoying our summer break in London, kids are learning about capoeira in summer camp, having delicious Jamaican food, found banana plantain at the corner store where someone from Indian descent knows greetings in Wolof (Sénégal) and Twi (Ghana)..
