And the Response Turnaround chart. The graphs are more noticably difference, but this is mostly due to a difference in X-axis scale because the user-reported data has a high outlier of 124 days where the market-reported has a max of 99 and that outlier is not there.
There could be multiple reasons!

Response Timeline graphs! Which are histogram of last year with of responses sent. Obviously much more spread out as is limited by how fast our staff can read submissions.
I always like this graph because you can spot really interesting response patterns here! User-reported is very representative
October 22, 2025 at 12:37 PM
What about the graphs???
Here are the Submission Timeline graphs, which are a histogram of the last year with each bar being a single day, with colors representing the outcome. The graphs are not identical, with again about 3 times the data in market-reported, but the shapes are very similar

Now that we have a full year of data let's compare the user-reported and market-reported sections!

First thing, looks like about 1/3 of complete data is self-reported by the users. This is probably higher for DP than other markets because DP/Grinder cross promotion

Final decisions have been made for the Diabolical Plots July 2025 submission window, and all the contracts have been signed, so the announcement of the accepted stories is scheduled to publish on Monday the 27th!

Its allliiiiive! Currently showing Donkey Kong, one of my favorite original Game Boy games (along with Kirby's Pinball).
Oh this is satisfying to see this run again!

Being able to pop 3 of the terminals off is very convenient! Because I can immerse them in vinegar and let them sit for a bit. a toothbrush and toothpicks takes off what's left.
Some 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean the ones attached to the board with a swab. (not any visible corrosion on those anyway

unscrewed some additional screws to pull the control board off the case. this gives enough space to pull out three pairs of battery terminals that are only loosely attached by tabs. the remaining pair are permanently attached to the control board.

Okay I have set aside some time again to work on the Game Boy because as Kenny Rogers said: If you want to play the Game Boy, you've got to learn to play it right.
Disconnected the ribbon connector to separate the halves

what do you clean it with? The green patches on the copper seem suspect?
October 15, 2025 at 12:46 AM
Here is the inside. I, uh, don't know what I'm looking at here. Those green patches on the copper seem not intentional, are those corrosion? How do I clean them up? Am I missing something that looks out of place?
October 15, 2025 at 12:44 AM
still maybe a little something to clean up here? I dont know how much actually matters
October 15, 2025 at 12:41 AM
So a while ago I was like oh I will open it up and see if anything looks damaged inside and found that they use a specialty screwdriver with a tri-point head. So I had to order the screwdriver somewhere and by the time it arrived I was busy doing something else
