Reading and listening to resources talk about how to increase interest in and people working in pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties is frustrating to me, a person currently in the pipeline, with most of my friends also in that pipeline. What we want in clear terms: more money and more time off.

I've often felt that Internal Medicine could treat their patients the way we treat NICU babies: wrap them up tight, put them in a warm, cozy room, and give them caffeine through an IV.
