What's the hurry?

In just 6 years, the UCP has been responsible for nearly half of all time allocation motions in Alberta history.

They're promising to do it again today, this time ramming through a bill that removes Charter rights in a matter of hours.

Today, I take my seat in the Legislature for the first time as the MLA for Edmonton-Strathcona and Leader of the Official Opposition.

Representing you in this chamber is an incredible honour of a lifetime and a responsibility that I’m deeply grateful for.

Thank you, Alberta.

When he last visited Alberta in 2018, I wrote about his impact on me. I ended with a simple prayer: May God accept his service, and may the community be enriched by it.

“In politics, winning elections is the moral imperative. You go into this business to change people’s lives for the better. That means changing policy, and to change policy you have to win.”
