to all my fellow progressive friends bashing NYT for running this nothing story. Would it have been better if this info came 1st from OTHER media? The NYT story made very clear that Mamdani did nothing wrong! And: Sources are frequently terrible people. Even “Nazis”. So what?! that’s the news biz

NYT story was fine. Is normal for media to look into info received from vile reprehensible sources. What boxes people have checked in applications is commonly reported. The story made clear Mamdani did nothing wrong. “Bouie was reprimanded”?? sez who? Jamelle plz tell us

he actually defends science fiction from OTHERS who look down on writers who try their hand at SF. He respectfully mentions the work of several SF authors, and also does not consider “the road” to be a science fiction work anyway
