Trees that are well rounded, grounded & rooted can stand up to anything & live a long life. Some live less straightforwardly, forced to bend & stagger like these drunks where the earth has moved beneath them. Their effort is their beauty #wisdomfromtheforest

Older trees make sure their youngsters grow slowly by depriving them of sunlight. Mothers know best. Slow growth makes for a long life. A slow growing tree is more flexible, resilient and resistant to fungi.

I like the logo for the Jubilee Year announced by Pope Francis. The four figures come from all corners of the world representing all humanity. They embrace each other as they hold onto the cross which anchors them in hope as they (we) navigate rough seas as pilgrims of hope.
