FY25: $108.3M invested → 1,827 affordable homes
FY26 Q1: $24.2M → 462 more homes

Total since FY23: nearly 4,400 affordable homes created or preserved.

DHCA’s FY25 Troubled Properties List shows major progress improving housing conditions: there was a 69% drop in Troubled rental units and a 57% drop in At-Risk units vs. last year, thanks to tougher enforcement and new tenant protections.

DHCA’s Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs was in Silver Spring on Wed to meet with local residents displaced by recent flooding. OLTA is working with partners at Montgomery County HHS to provide a full range of support to households affected by the water main break.

This week, DHCA celebrated the opening of the Residences at Forest Glen—new affordable units a half mile from the Metro. DHCA’s $30m+ investment helped nonprofit partner MHP acquire the site and replace 72 outdated units with 189 modern homes.
