This is an eye-opening article which reveals that even a tiny amount of incorrect info (like 0.001%) can skew the accuracy of AI responses on medical topics. This is a serious concern! Many rely on LLMs for health info without realizing the potential for misinformation.

“Leaving and Waving”, by Deanna Dikeman, is a poignant reminder of the passage of life and of impermanence.

It is particularly touching for those of us who live in a different country, and for those who have gone through the pain of bereavement.

I’m thrilled to get my hands on this new book. It will be my Christmas gift to myself! 🤩

I’ve been fascinated by this perspective applied to meditation since reading @rubenlaukkonen.bsky.social and Slagter’s paper, which is one of my favorites ever since:

In my experience, Waze is generally more accurate in predicting ETA than Google Maps, though both are far from ideal, especially with changing traffic conditions. I never use Apple Maps, BTW.

A new algorithm might shift the entire app landscape. Interesting news:

Scientists Establish the Best Algorithm for Traversing a Map
Dijkstra’s algorithm was long thought to be the most efficient way to find a graph’s best routes. Researchers have now proven that it’s “universally optimal.”

“These findings suggest that children with ADHD diagnosis/symptoms may struggle to maintain their circadian rhythm due to a disrupted melatonin secretion system.”

Is this not a chicken-or-the-egg situation? Melatonin disruption ↔️ ADHD?

In Brazil, one of the main current public debates is regarding changing the law to limit workers to regularly work up to 36 hours per week, 5 workdays per week.

Currently, the limit is 44 hours per week, with 6 workdays per week.

Ironically, I found this on Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/Adulting/c...

My idea of social networking is reading Jung alone in a coffee shop and making eye contact with no one.

Apparently, that may put me in the new trend. Woo-hoo!

As my first post on Bluesky, I thought I’d show you the best photo I’ve ever taken, a bit over 10 years ago.

This was a magical day in Königsee, a lake in the Bavarian Alps quite close to Munich.

I'm very proud of it. Hi! 👋
