The snowy conditions have made for a busy morning for deputies on the roads: one injury crash on K-10 where no one was transported; six non-injury crashes in the county, most southeast of Lawrence and 10 calls to assist motorists - at different spots in the county.

Don't forget that daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, so clocks will fall back one hour.

Make sure to set your clocks back an hour before bed. While you're changing things, go ahead and change the batteries in your smoke alarms as well.

Distracted driving is any activity that diverts attention from driving, including talking or texting on your phone. Texting is the most alarming distraction. Sending or reading a text takes your eyes off the road for 5 seconds. At 55 mph, that's like driving 100 yards with your eyes closed.
