Feeling thankful, but also saddened by the cuts to this program. The number of awards were reduced by half. It’s a shame to see such a special program that funds highly talented scientists be cut

The lab’s first spikes from polymer neural interfaces we built in-house. I’m so unbelievably proud of their hard work 🔥
Within a year, this team went from zero fabrication experience, to manufacturing their own flexible neural probes, to implanting and recording. An incredible accomplishment
