Fabulous car. Pics of me leaning on my uncle's Daimler Double Six coupe sometime in the late '70s. Remember being fascinated by the way the rear window went down into the wing, and the fuel switch on the console. Dad had a Viva HB at the time, so that 5.3l v12 was a beast in comparison.

Watching Shifty (Adam Curtis doc) on iPlayer. In ep2 (~1982) there's a clip of what looks like the police cautioning a group of young adults (context is police interactions with women). Not important, but in the clip one of the women is wearing a crew jacket from The Cult's Electric tour - 1987

For some reason, not sure why, but Scary Monsters used to be my Friday Commute album. Absolute corker. You can see why every album after that was 'is this the best album since SM?'. For me, Black Tie, White Noise was the one.

Hifi post... Currently running a CXNv2 streamer, a 20-year-old amp (Rotel RA1062) and a 40-year-old pair of speakers (Acoustic Research AR18S's). Lush.
