The first Reform MP was of course my own, Lee Anderson of Ashfield. He didn't resign to fight a by-election when he jumped from the Tories either. Come to think of it, he didn't resign his council seat in 2018 when he jumped from Labour to Tory. Yes, it does seem to be a forgotten principle.
