I lived in the 40th for 5 years (voted for you), and saw far more presence and patrolling than I do in the 26th now. Interesting re: non-proactivity, as 26 should have more patrolling/presence based on far greater activity and need.

Just wanted to understand how you’re defining core functions. I didn’t see an explicit call-out for proactive safety (think patrolling, community presence and outreach, etc) so wanted to see if that was implicit in your description of core functions (highlight). And if not, who should be doing that?

Genuinely curious, does proactive policing to create safer neighborhoods and discourage the litany of micro-crimes that enhances overall safety fall into the definition of core functions you mention above?

Philips #Hue: reboot the bridge every few weeks. There is an inverse relationship between the number of devices synced and the length of time between reboots, to ensure the app automations continue running smoothly. Haven’t found a “why”, but this staves off inadvertent schedule failures.
