react-native-bottom-sheet seems to be the standard for this. I can't vouch for android, but I know it works well on iOS and web. I think the react native team is building out integration with the native bottom sheets that will take inspiration for the API from this package

It's been pretty flawless for me. I think i've only run into one minor bug when trying to fullscreen a youtube video, but otherwise no issues!
